The Challenge: A compounder approached Maine Plastics about supplying multiple truckloads each month of a PC/PBT with specific Izod and melt characteristics.

The Solution: Maine Plastics sourced the materials from foreign and domestic suppliers using our extensive database of contacts. We tested the lots in our laboratory to confirm the materials met specifications. Materials were stocked in Maine Plastics warehouses in two locations to ensure a ready supply.

The Benefits: The compounder was able expand this program, confident that each month we could deliver the materials, at or exceeding required quality standards.

SPEEDY REMOVAL SAVES MONEY

The Challenge: A supplier was closing a plant and required removal of 38 truckloads of materials in less than one week.

The Solution: Using a combination of contract carriers and company fleet vehicles, the materials were removed on schedule. Maine Plastics leased short-term warehouse space to process and store the material.

The Benefits: The supplier met a difficult deadline that enabled it to save a month’s rent and meet corporate objectives.
